Buddhism Meditation

                                                            Feng shui

The Buddhist religion feels that meditation is a pathway towards liberation from defilements (kleshas) along with clinging and craving (upadana) which is also referred to as an awakening on the pathway we discussed in this blog to Nirvana. Some of the most notable meditation techniques are Yoga and mindfulness of breathing (anapanasati). Buddha himself used meditation as a form of enlightenment. In the beginning stages of Buddhist meditation, they sit for fifteen minutes and once fully practicing they will meditate for an hour.

Buddha spoke that "Meditation brings wisdom; lack of meditation leaves ignorance".

Interesting tidbit: It "Dawned on Me" that there is Feng shui, so I looked into it as it had to be Buddhist, right? WRONG, Feng shui comes from China but is not a Buddhist practice, however, some Buddhists do practice this art.
